Claymore and Evie

It's time! Every year, for my wedding anniversary, I draw an image for my wife as a gift. The subject is always a game we spent a lot of time playing/bonding over that year.

This year, we both finally got around to playing Dragon Age Inquisition. While not directly co-op like previous years, a lot of time was spent where I was working in my office and she was relaxed in my recliner jamming out to this game. It was really nice having her hang out and getting to chat about the story or plethora of funny glitches.

So, I drew our characters and then as since the game has a heavy focus on relationships, I added our character's love interests as well. On the left is my no-nonsense dwarf and her meat shield. On the right is Jes's fourth play-through-and-favorite character (she played it a lot) aloft her bea.

This image took so many hours to produce. I think I went through a dozen drafts before I settled here. Its a shame that so much work went into images no one will ever see, but I suppose the discoveries made during that time ultimately shaped the final design.
