Another anniversary, another portrait for my wife. This year's topic; Guild Wars 2. We shared a good amount of time playing that together, and since I already did a Spiral Knights one, it seemed like the right call... Otherwise it would have been two variants of Shepard looking all pissy.

Here we have my Asura elementalist and her Human engineer. We get killed alot...

Years of being a game's artist has left me thinking completely in T-poses and the like... I fear I'll never get my legs back for drawing dynamic poses again. As a result, these two serious dooders, are rather rigid.

I guess I should save my worry for if I ever can look at my work and see no flaws.

I thought the poses looked less rigid and more defiantly badass. Feel free to claim that was what you were going for :P
As a huge GW2 fan and 3PS reader, this is a great picture! It's not common to see someone capture an asura (expression and all) so very well.

I've been told that Engi's using Grenades are super effective.

Also, good times! :D Can't wait to see what you do for next year.

Don't push yourself too hard. As an artist you'll always gone through changing times. It comes the day where you wake up and draw something completely different and then you will improve your art. Now you draw only (from my fanboy view ^^ great!) artworks in a static manner but it will be changing. Really.

As for the artwork it's great. Simple coloring with effective light and art design. Fav! ;)

It looks very awesome :D Ah yes, the squishyness of not having a warrior around sometimes... XD I find I die a ton on my Engineer and Mesmer as well. The armors came out very well on them both ^^ That eye piece will never not look awesome on engineers...

The day you'll see no flaws in your work is the day you'll stop improving. To be satisfied, on the other hand.....

Either way, that's a good looking image! Really like the bright lighting above against the darker foreground.
